Ok here is the installer, the install process is relatively complex since windows doesnt come with the dpendencies it needed on linux but its not hard. Here is a realtime blender scene that used Insane Bump: This is no where near as polished as crazy bump, but it should be a nice free alternative or another tool for people wanting something different.Īnyone interested or did you already invest in crazy bump? I reported it back to windows so a greater number of people can test it. I expanded on it and now it has a real time viewer with “realtime tweaking” and the ability to generate diffuse(seamless and with filters to remove low frequency shadows), spec, normal and AO maps.

This will fix crackling or dropouts, but can lead to slightly asynchronous or delayed sounds. Try different value like snd_mixahead "0.2" or snd_mixahead "0.4" for increasing the buffered time of soundsamples. You will find the autoexec.cfg in the FAKEFACTORY_CM9\hl2\cfg FAKEFACTORY_CM9\episodic\cfg FAKEFACTORY_CM9\ep2\cfg directories. If sound crackles occures, you can fix this by setting the snd_mixahead value in the autoexec's of CM's subdirectories. Added tons of new environment textures and details (you hardly see any blurry textures now - even on closeups).Reworked the Character Pimper for easier usage.

(Compared to the Cry-Engine: Source engines 100 % entity limit equals approx. The current build of the source engine can't render detailed open areas or nice foliage without hitting this limits. Currently i have reached the source-engine limits in almost all areas. Therefore prepare yourself for fps below 40 in some open areas, unless you're using the latest NASA supercomputer. It's almost impossible to get good framerates with enhanced viewrange, hires-textures and high polycount. The Orangebox/Source Engine is getting outdated and performs poor compared to newer engines like the Cry-Engine or the Unreal-Engine. Make sure to use the Character Pimper to chose the new models after installing this update!
